Unsworth Reserve, North Shore

Offering an alternative to the traditional dig-and-dump method, Unsworth Reserve was another Auckland Council stormwater project where CleanStream NZ’s innovation thrived. CleanStream NZ were tasked with dredging the stormwater ponds with a large catchment area. The waterway was suffocating with silt and needed quick and safe removal to keep the project on programme. The CleanStream NZ team worked alongside a civil construction company to help transform the popular reserve and clean out the waterway via amphibious dredging. The dewatered silt was safely removed from site without disruption to the reserve’s daily recreational users. CleanStream NZ’s alternative dredging and dewatering setup - coupled with ease-of-access into the ponds - resulted in both time and money saved for Auckland Council.
